Efter mange uheld året igemmen lykkes det at sikre et nyt Sjællands Mesterskab i Futura XL ved finalen på Korsør gokart bane.

Så er vi klar til 2008. Den nye DD2 fra CRG er næsten færdig, vi brugte lidt længer tid end beregnet på at samle den. Vi vil forsøge at køre alle de DD2 løb der er i år, samt prøve at genvinde SM i Futura med karten fra sidste år. Så der bliver nok at se til.

Løbet i Søndersø skulle have været det sidste i år men efter alle de uheld tager vi lige et løb mere i Rødby. På 2 omg i tidstagningen satte vi en motor derved ingen tid så vi startede sidst. I første heat problemmer med en kaburator ingen fart på langsiden i 2 heat var det tænding der svigtede og i sidste heat igen kaburator problemmer så rigtig trist dag.

4 afd. af SM blev lidt af en prøvelse. Vi har aldrig før været udsat for så mange uheld på så kort tid. Vi satte tiden og vandt første heat hvorefter alt gik galt. I 2 heat gik rattet løs 3 heat op gav tændspolen så det blev ikke til mange pokaler denne weekend men vi endte med max point før finalen.
Weekenden efter var det så tid til 4 afd af klubmesterskabet i hedeland igen fik vi sat tiden men i første heat satte motren sig på 3 sidste omgang uden varsel ????? I 2 heat var vi så nede som nr 15 og det lykkes Peter at køre op til en 6 plads. I 2 heat start som nr 10 godt gasset op af alt det modgang og det lykkes at komme op og vinde heatet og dermed sejr i dagens afd. Temligt rart at køre over mål stregen som vinder efter alle de uheld. Nu venter vi spændt på SM finalen i Rødby og håber Peter har opbrugt alt sit uheld og dermed kan køre SM i hus men med kun 20 point til nr 2 bliver det svært.

I løbet af sommeren har vi været med på HM træningstur for 5 gang, igen til kilppan i sverige, en rigtig fin ugen med masser af muligheder for at prøve forskellige opsætninger. Turen kan helt sikkeret anbefales, masser af køretid, 2 løb (vandt det ene-nr 3 i det andet)og ikke mindst masser af hygge.
Hjemme igen blev det sommeferie, vi startede d. 4 august i Rødby med et klubløb, vandt de to første heat, men måtte udgå med et defekt motorkonsol i 3 heat, og dermed samlet nr 3. Så holdt vi et par ferie dage ved Køge og om torsdagen gik det så til Roskilde og Futura Cup. Lørdag var der tidstagning og kvaliheat, satte tiden og vandt begge heat. Søndag skulle vi køre 4 finaler som alle talte til dagens resultalt. Vi startede 1 efter søndagen kvali heat og vandt de 3 første, blev 2 i det sidste efter lidt forsigtig kørsel, alt lød som om det var ved at falde af på de sidste omgange, men det var bare Peter`s dårlige nerver, så sejren var i hus vinder af Futura Cup xl.
Så var der tid til lidt mere ferie, før turen igen gik til Rødby og ungdoms cup, hvor vi skulle ud og prøve en KF2 i Peugeot 125. Her blev det til en 2 plads.
Så 18 dages ferie med masser af gokart fik en fed afslutning.

Ved DM i Ikast blev det til en 5 plads samlet, og en 3 plads for køre over 40 år. Det var mere end vi havde håbet på før vi tog afsted.
Lørdagens tid og heat gav en start som 3ère til søndagens finaler.I første finale var vi 3ere, desvære blev et defekt tændrør grunden til at vi udgik på første omgang af 2 finale, og dermed skulle vi starte 10ere i 3 finale, både i 3 og 4 finale blev det til 5 pladser og dermed samlet 5.
En sjov oplevelse med det første old boys løb vi har kørt, og noget anderledes i forhold til futura som vi normalt køre .Stor tak til alle der gav en hånd med.

Vi var igen med på hedelands trænings lejr på Klippan banen i sverige i uge 28 og igen var det en fed uge noget som alle burde prøve.
D. 12/8 kørte vi klubløb i Grindsted og vandt.
Næste løb bliver nok Futura Cuppen.

Så kom vi
endlig ud at køre. Det første klubløb i GGK endte med en sat motor
i tidstagningen, så en 5 plads var hvad det kunne blive til. (ud
af 5)
(Klubløb Als)
Påsken er blevet brugt til træning i Grinsted torsdag, Vojens
fredag, Als lørdag fik lov at køre med i deres klubløb (2 plads)
og mandag i Vojens igen. Næste løb køre vi i Ikast, JFM d.29/30
april.
